Yesterday was a big day for Seattle Fashion. Stylesight the world's leading fashion forcasters stopped by Seattle's humble Ballard neighbourhood yesterday to interview our good friends Ty Ziskis + Carlos Ruiz @ CMRTYZ. On our recommendation, Michael from Stylesight paid them a visit to check out their new hand-made line, and to see the inner workings of (our opinion) Seattle's most promising fashion house (apartment.) Michael seemed refreshed by CMRTYZ's simple roots, and pure mission statement...or lack thereof. In the fashion world, status often reigns paramount, leaving actual style and artistry as a secondary motive. In the case of CMRTYZ, art and attainability is the main goal, and status is tossed out with their screen-printing waste. Last brag...we promise! It's just so flattering to see so many people from so many different places interested in Le 21ème. When we were in Manhattan last week, we made a point to meet up with Marcus Mason, founder/blogger of CoaFA. Well, another WOW. Those of you who know us...well, you know we're more than obsessed with Robert Geller. He is BY FAR our favourite designer, and we seek his garments out wherever we go. So, naturally when Le 21ème found out we were heading to New York, we knew we had to find a way to get to see the Spring/Summer 2010 collection before it hits stores. Our friend Michael Fisher over at StyleSight got us in touch with Shaun Lewis at LaForce + Stevens who had possession of the new line. He was nice enough to let us look over the collection, pick out of favourite pieces and accessories and take them in to look them over (and shoot!) Well, O M Geller...the garments are AMAZING, and the construction is the best we've seen. Let's put it this way, although it's impossible to predict the future, I'd say you could place your bets as to what we'll be wearing next Spring/Summer. WOW.

Wow, last night was our first real night out in New York, and we were invited to an amazing event at Tory Burch by our good friend Kate Macaluso. The event was to benefit the Ethiopian Children's Fund which is an amazing organization which helps to educate children in rural ethiopia. The party was full of beautiful people in beautiful fits.
